Software Sales Account Executive

VerQu is seeking an outstanding Software Sales Account Executive to identify sales opportunities, develop new accounts and determine appropriate direction for prospective new business.

The key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Develop new and existing accounts by marketing company product line directly to target accounts
  • Initiate proactive outbound account visits, and interactions to obtain new business
  • Identify opportunities for customer development and revenue growth
  • Phone follow-up on all trade show, demo requests and leads
  • Phone follow-up on existing customer base as assigned
  • Qualify prospects for territory based accounts
  • Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced team environment
  • Turn product inquiries into sales and up sell when possible
  • Assist customers with product selection, pricing and payment method
  • Record gathered information into database while moving customers along the sales cycle
  • Deliver configuration and quotations as requested
  • Maintain professionalism and proper etiquette through all forms of communication
  • Inform supervisor of any pertinent customer concerns/issues
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Complete other duties as specified to include – Commission Calculation, Reporting
  • Manage and prepare customer proposals and RFP/RFQ/Solicitations

To be considered for this role, you will possess:

  • Bachelor level degree in business/marketing or a related field required
  • Strong sales experience a plus.
  • 5-7 years of prior experience in sales and account management required
  • Completion of a formal sales training program preferred
  • Knowledge of digital investigations, forensics, eDiscovery, cyber threat analysis and cyber incident response space, software companies products and service providers strongly preferred
  • Proven phone sales/telesales ability required
  • Ability to close sales through effective and aggressive sales and negotiation techniques
  • Ability to conduct business over the phone involving prospecting, selling, and servicing new and existing customers
  • Excellent phone skills and computer knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills and superior customer service orientation
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Proven track record of ability to deliver sales of complex services and solutions in a competitive environment
  • Organized and detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills
  • Able to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple time-zones
