2020 FINRA Annual Conference has been Canceled

Because of the global impact of COVID-19, Finra has canceled its 2020 Annual Conference.

The widely attended conference that brings people from all parts of the world in the broker-dealer industry was scheduled for May 12 to 14 in Washington, D.C.

“We recognize that this decision may pose an inconvenience and cause disappointment. However, your wellbeing is paramount, and we are taking the necessary precautions to mitigate any health risks, with your safety in mind,” Finra states in an email sent to conference registrants. To alleviate the situation, Finra is providing registrants a full refund of the conference fees they have paid.

Futhermore, Finra also announced they will be canceling or postponing all events scheduled through April 6.  Based on guidance from public health agencies, Finra said the assessment of events beyond April 6 is being done “on a case-by-case basis”. It has set up a web page for all COVID-19 related updates.
